Subjects Taught
4th Grade Math & Science

I received my BA in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi. I graduated from Blue Mountain College with a Masters in Elementary Education. I am also highly qualified in English and Social Studies grades 7-12.

The 2017-2018 school year will be my fifth year to teach in elementary education. I taught first grade for three years at Holly Springs Primary School. This will be my second year teaching fourth grade in the Desoto County School District. The 2016-2017 school year I had the pleasure of tutoring 18 students who showed tremendous growth academically and socially. The last four years I was afforded the opportunity to attend over 35 teacher trainings and conferences to aid in my success as an educator and classroom facilitator.

I also taught preschool for 12 years and during that time I obtained my CDA Credential. I had the opportunity in 2012 to do my observations and student teaching at Chickasaw Elementary. I subbed for six months in several counties including Desoto, and the experience in different school environments definitely impacted how I have approached and handled positive and negative experiences during my teaching journey.

I am a native of Holly Springs, MS where I lived most of my life. I have two handsome teenage boys. By the grace of God, August 4th I will celebrate my 17 year anniversary with my husband. I enjoy reading, watching HGTV(Property Brothers), eating tacos, shopping, and spending time with my awesome family!

I am a Diabetic and I have found it to be very challenging the last 15 years, but with the help of God, my awesome fourth grade classes, and determination I chose a healthier life style the 2016-2017 school year. I am down 19 pounds and I plan to reach my goal and stay on a healthy path. I've learned that through Christ Jesus ALL things are possible!
