Bio

Hello! My name is Amanda White. I am a 4th grade, math and science teacher.  Teaching is my passion and I consider teaching a rewarding career.  I began taking college courses while I was serving in the military.  I spent six years in the U.S. Army before deciding it was time for me to focus on a career in teaching.  I worked as a bus driver for Desoto County Schools and completed several of my education courses online.  I completed my student teaching at Pleasant Hill Elementary.  My mentor was a wonderful teacher who taught me effective teaching strategies to use in my classroom.  Once I received my teaching license, I began teaching in Tunica County.  I worked there for 3 1/2 years teaching first grade. Now I am teaching fourth grade and I absolutely love it!

I spend all of my free time with my family.  I am married with two beautiful daughters, a wonderful step-daughter, and a fun-loving step-son.  Needless to say, there is never a dull moment in my house with four teenagers.  My family is my number one priority; furthermore, they were my number one supporters during my educational journey.  Their encouragement helped me succeed.  Now it is time for me to help my students succeed.
