Welcome Message
Parents and students,
It is with great pleasure and a blessing to be able to teach your sweet pea this year during their 4th grade journey! I am so thrilled to be in such a place where I can make a difference in their lives! Please know that I am here for you all to provide a home away from home for your sweet pea! I will ALWAYS have their best interests at heart and will do everything in helping them be successful!
One of my favorite things to say in the classroom is, "Let’s keep the learning going & keep practicing math." Keep writing the stories, keep looking up the amazing places, keep reading about events in history, or in space for that matter!
Although during this unprecedented time in our history, information can change rapidly. Therefore, check back often for the most updated information that we can provide. Please contact me if I can be of any assistance.
About the Teacher
My name is Jacquelyn Hearn-Bell and I teach 4th grade. This is my 11th year with the DeSoto County School District, I have a total of 21.5 years of educational experience. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (with concentrations in Mathematics & Social Sciences) from Mississippi Valley State University and a Master's of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. I graduated within the top 5% from both classes.
My hobbies include traveling, shopping, cooking, gardening, and volunteering! I LOVE getting to make an impact in the lives of students! Education & the relationships I make with my students and parents are very important parts of my life. Without a doubt, I know I am fulfilling my purpose and am extremely proud to be a Quistor! #QUISTORPRIDE #OBPRIDE
We will be utilizing Clever, for students to become familiar with our Distance Learning Platform with lessons and activities presented through CODE.ORG, Schoology, IXL, iReady, and other programs. They will be planned so that our students can continue to receive the highest quality of education. Parents, please do not hesitate to contact me if you all have any questions or concerns. At times, when students are absent, they are still able to access Schoology to review over material they may be miss. Should you ever have any questions about your child's education, please feel free to message me through School Status. I am always available to discuss any issue or concern you have regarding your child.
