Welcome to 5th Grade math.

We will be using a variety of tools this year to learn. Our goal is to cover all of our standards by Spring Break so we are able to use the time between Spring Break and state tests to revisit standards to prepare for the state test. I do not send homework home unless it is not completed during class. We work in small groups as well as independently. I pull students to my table several times a week to make sure they are understanding the content.

We use workbooks and worksheets as well as Ixl on the computer.

I have a bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi.

I have a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Mississippi College.

I am currently in my 11th year in education. I have taught K-5 through the years.

I am happily married for 9 1/2 years to my husband Shawn. I have 2 step daughters who I am very proud to call mine. I also have my oldest fur baby Bazinga that is a chocolate lab and my youngest fur baby Ruger that is a charcoal lab. I have been in education for 11 years and enjoy my job to the fullest.

My hobbies are watching and attending college football, baseball, and of course the St. Louis Cardinals games.
