Hello, my name is Patti-Jo vanErven and I am one of the 4th grade Inclusion teachers.This is my 4th year at OBIS. I am excited to be a part of the amazing team at this school.
My husband and I relocated from Brighton, Colorado to Mississippi in 2018. We lived in Colorado for 22 years. We have 2 grown children. While in Colorado, I worked in my school district for 14 years in the primary grades in Instructional Interventions. After moving to Mississippi, I went back to school and received my Mississippi teaching certificate in January 2020.
The great thing about working in education is that you get to learn something new every day! I am excited to work in this school, but more importantly, I'm excited to work with the great students that attend OBIS.
