Ashley Taggart, Principal

Mrs. Ashley Taggart, Principal

It is my honor and privilege to support and lead the Olive Branch Intermediate School family as principal. I look forward to the upcoming school year. A culture of safety, respect, and preparedness will ensure success for faculty, staff, and students

The 2020-2021 school year will start my 19th year in education. In 2002, I graduated from Belhaven University with my B.S in Elementary Education. A scholarship through the MS Teacher Fellowship Program enabled me to complete my Masters of Education from the University of Mississippi while teaching in Tate county for three years. For the past 15 years, I have proudly served students in DeSoto County. In 2005, I began teaching 6th grade Language Arts and Social Studies at Hernando Middle School where I taught for seven years. As I took on additional leadership opportunities at HMS, I felt the desire to pursue administration. I graduated from Delta State University in 2011 with my Specialist in Educational Leadership. In 2012, I became the assistant principal of Hernando High School and served for eight years. Now, I have the chance to fulfill my dream to support and lead as a principal.

I have been married for 20 years, and we have an amazing and talented daughter, Sarah who is 16. We also have two cats, Alice and Sally, and two dogs, Rue and Piper.

My name is Treasure Daniel, and I am extremely excited about being the assistant principal here at Olive Branch Intermediate!

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Delta State University in Elementary Education in 2007. I became a National Board-Certified teacher in 2013, earned my master’s degree in Educational Theory and Practice from Arkansas State University in 2016, and then earned my Educational Specialist degree from ASU in Educational Leadership in 2019.

I began my career at Lake Cormorant Elementary School and have served as a both a classroom teacher and instructional coach across the district at Horn Lake Intermediate and Overpark Elementary.

My husband, Tim, and I have a six-year-old daughter named Ollie. As a resident of Olive Branch, I am excited to both live in and serve the same community and am looking forward to working with the entire OB team!
